This is one of 19 different components that Anderson manufactures for a customer who produces mechanical assemblies for furniture and office equipment. Their assembly lines are highly automated and it is critical for all of their components to feed automatically. They came to Anderson because their current supplier could not meet their stringent quality criteria. We received an initial order on a trial basis with some reluctance, on our customer's part, since our prices were slightly higher than their current (now former) supplier. However, once our component was introduced to their automated system, their production efficiency went from approximately 40% up to 90% ! Today we enjoy all of their cold forming business.
