Anderson Manufacturing produces miniature fasteners such as screws, bolts and studs (such as clinch studs) to meet the precision fastening needs of industries ranging from automotive and electronics to medical. Our competence extends to manufacturing fasteners with diameters as low as 0.019". We can form fasteners with tolerances close to ±0.001" in diameter and ±0.005" in length.
Besides manufacturing miniature fasteners, Anderson Manufacturing also supplies a range of proprietary threaded fasteners and anti-cross threaded products such as MAThread®. Our cold forming process ensures faster production as well as increased shear and yield strengths compared with conventional machining operations. Our production run capabilities range from a thousand to a million pieces.
In addition to cold heading, we perform secondary operations such as trimming and thread rolling to custom specifications. Camera optical sorting and roll sorting machines are used for sorting fasteners. Our in-house QC capability is complimented by finite element analysis, which facilitates strict quality control.
An automotive manufacturer sought a faster, more efficient and cost-effective process to produce alloy steel oil slingers. Producing these fully machined parts created a whopping 82% scrap rate, as well as relatively high costs and long delivery times.
A low carbon steel part manufactured for military use had been fully machined, producing 40% scrap. Production costs were high, with long delivery times and potential capacity issues due to high volume...
An automotive manufacturer needed to reduce scrap waste in the production of a low carbon steel door latch component. Previously, the part had been fully machined with a 60% scrap rate.
An automotive manufacturer tried to have a seat shaft produced in the U.S. by at least two different cold forming houses – unsuccessfully – before consulting Anderson Manufacturing Corporation...
A customer consulted us about how to more efficiently manufacture a drive shaft. The existing steel part had been fully machined, creating 75% scrap in the process.
